Tile Adhesive Over Existing Tiles
UZIN Bond Plus is an adhesive for ceramic tiles, homogeneous tiles, glass blocks, and natural stone applications on floors and walls in commercial and wet areas. It has strong bonding strength (requiring a load of more than 10 kg to remove a 1x1 cm tile that has been installed for 28 days) and minimal shrinkage to prevent tile lifting. It is applied thinly (± 3 mm) using a notched trowel and is known as the “thin-bed method” as a replacement for the conventional thick-bed method. The advantages of the thin-bed method compared to the thick-bed method are faster application, overcoming tile cracking, preventing tile popping and debonding. It also simplifies installation because the tiles do not sag during application and do not need to be soaked in water beforehand.
