UZIN SC 06

UZIN SC 06 is a methyl siliconate-based solution with high solid content and is solvent-free. The active material reacts with CO2 in the air and forms polymethylsilicic acid with hydrophobic (water-repellent) properties. During this process, the pores and capillary gaps remain open so that the coated surface does not lose its ability to release water vapor. Therefore, the UZIN SC 06 layer will not peel from the surface and will not deteriorate due to water accumulation behind the coating. It is used as a hydrophobing agent to seal pores on surfaces such as Screed, Concrete, Natural Stone, Brick, Lightweight Brick, clay-based materials such as flower pots and roof tiles, gypsum-based materials, insulating materials such as rock wool, fibre board, wood, plywood, and other water-absorbent materials. UZIN SC 06 coating is colorless, does not alter the surface color, and does not create a glossy film layer. In addition to preventing water seepage that causes mold and mildew growth, UZIN SC 06 coating also protects buildings from carbonate exposure (originating from vehicle exhaust fumes), which over time can cause reinforcing steel to corrode and eventually lead to concrete damage.
